The resistance cap in Path of Exile 2 is the maximum elemental resistance your character can have — and getting to it is the single most important defensive job in the game.
Example: that fire boss who one-shot you in Act 3? Check your fire resistance. Being under the cap is the most common reason casual characters feel “squishy.”
