A league in Path of Exile 2 is a fresh start: a separate game world where everyone makes new characters and the economy resets, usually launched alongside a big patch every few months.
Example: when a new league starts, that unique you saved is still on your old character — in the old world. Your league character starts with nothing, and so does everyone else. That’s the appeal.
