Selling in Path of Exile 2 means setting up your own little shop: get a Merchant’s Tab, put items in it, set prices — and buyers purchase from you even while you’re offline.
This is the part of the new trading system that changed the most, so let’s get the big outdated myth out of the way first: selling no longer involves Premium Stash Tabs. Any guide describing that flow predates patch 0.3. The modern system runs through a hideout vendor named Ange and a special tab built for selling.
Setting up
Once you have your hideout (Act 4), invite Ange from the hideout panel. She runs your shop. The Merchant’s Tab itself is a real-money purchase from the points shop — 40 points each, or six for 200, which works out to a few dollars. I’d love to tell you selling is entirely free, and honesty is the whole point of this site: this one tab is the real cost of being a seller, and one is plenty for a casual schedule.
Listing an item
Put the item in your Merchant’s Tab, set a price (pick the currency and the amount), and pay a small gold listing fee. The item goes live for other players to find. When someone buys it, they’re taken to your hideout shop and the sale completes whether you’re online, offline, or asleep. Your proceeds wait for you in Ange’s earnings tab.
The four-hours-a-week routine that works: before logging off, drop the session’s lucky finds in the tab, price them against a quick price check, and collect your earnings tomorrow. The market does not care that you only play Tuesdays. That’s the gift.
FAQ
Do I need a Premium Stash Tab to sell?
No. That system is gone. Selling runs through a Merchant’s Tab and Ange in your hideout. (Premium tabs bought before the changeover could be converted, which is why old screenshots confuse people.)
Can people buy from me while I’m offline?
Yes — that’s the entire point of the new system. List it, log off, collect the currency later.
What does listing cost?
A small gold fee per listing, plus the one-time Merchant’s Tab purchase. Gold can’t be traded between players, so the fee is a bot tax, not a real cost to you.
